Welcome to this comprehensive collection of “All-things-Apple-and-App-Related” compiled by Spectronics’ clever team of speech pathologists, teachers and occupational therapists! We hope you find these resources helpful as you implement use of iPads, iPhones or iPod touches in special education classrooms or therapy settings. Also helpful in regular ed settings for support of students struggling with reading, writing or organisational skills.
This Blog will be regularly updated as new Apps and accessories are developed and reviewed by our team. We hope you will become a regular visitor!
Spectronics is proud to have recently been appointed to the Apple Consultants Network (ACN) in Australia in recognition of our professional team’s expertise in educational applications of Apple technologies. We look forward to providing advisory and consultancy services to schools and to other users of these technologies. Details of our Apple Consultants’ services and schedule of fees can be viewed here.
We are also currently working on building Apps Webinars around the following topics:
- Using Apps for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Using Apps as visual supports for support of students with autism
- An overview of Apps in special education classrooms
- Using Apps to support students in regular ed who are struggling with literacy
If you are interested in being advised of when these are to be scheduled, please send a note to workshops@spectronicsinoz.com and we will make sure to keep you up-to-date.
