SymbolStix is the newest symbol set from the US, now versioned for UK English. Originally designed and developed by News-2-You, Inc for use in its internet newspaper and online curriculum, SymbolStix depicts activities and people as lively, vibrant stick figures, drawn with a distinctive flair to create “stick figures with an attitude”.

About symbols
Symbols support reading and writing for people with a variety of learning needs. Each symbol describes a concept and there are symbols for practically all commonly used words. This symbol library comprises approximately 11,000 symbols.
Providing a symbol with each word in a Clicker or ClozePro grid helps students to find the words they want. Having the symbols appear in the text they have completed enables the student to read it back.
