MyBoard software makes it easy to create all sorts of personalised drag-and-drop activities with pictures and text.

Use MyBoard to:

MyBoard also has a choice of simple sets of tools that are ideal for less able learners. The sizing and positioning tools are really easy to use; clear, vibrant buttons for maximum accessibility – great for whiteboards and suitable for those with poor motor control.

Toolboxes include:

“Painting” Toolbox

This toolbox is for painting within MyBoard. There are two brush sizes and a small set of colours to choose from. You can also erase and undo if you make mistakes.

All the toolboxes feature the move tool so that you can drag pictures and text around the activity.

“Picture Play” Toolbox

The Picture Play toolbox is used for making pictures (and text) bigger and smaller, rotating and flipping. You can also place pictures underneath or on top of each other and lock items so that they cannot be moved.

“Writing” Toolbox

You can add words, labels or any other text using the Writing toolbox. You can enter text using the touchscreen keyboard or via a standard keyboard. As well as making the text bigger or smaller, you can also change its colour and remove the background.

“My Pictures” Toolbox

The My Pictures toolbox is perhaps the most important as it has the tools you need to get your pictures into MyBoard. You can choose pictures from 2000+ images within the scrapbook, load your own pictures from your computer or browse the internet using Google images – all without having to leave MyBoard.

Using the webcam is a great way of taking photograph in a classroom environment. You can instantly take photographs of people or objects and have them on the screen in seconds.

Plays sound too!

MyBoard’s sound feature adds a whole new dimension. MyBoard is ideal for providing visual prompts for the language used in the classroom, helping students’ understanding.

Pictures and text can speak, giving extra motivation and reinforcement and making MyBoard scenes more interactive and inclusive. The ability to add sound to pictures and text enables teachers and therapists to make fun and engaging receptive and expressive language activities too.

You can easily create many different types of exciting activities. These are some examples of the kind of activities you can make and play using MyBoard.

Early learning: Dress the boy
Simply drag the clothes onto the boy. Use either as a free play activity or to discuss appropriate clothing for the weather.

Shapes: Build a spaceship
Use the shapes from the “copy box” at the bottom of the screen to make all kinds of pictures.

Sorting: Teddy venn diagram
Sort the teddies into the Venn diagram according to their clothes.

Calculation: Number bonds
Drag the missing numbers from the copy box at the side. You can do all kinds of Cloze activities in numeracy and literacy lessons.

You can make your own sorting and sequencing activities, literacy games, numeracy tasks, 3D construction sets, colouring books, dot-to-dots, board games, design and technology activities, maps and drag-and-drop activities.

Pictogram
Build a pictogram of students’ pets on the interactive whiteboard or plasma. You can easily add different pets.

Letter Formation
You can create all kinds of letter copying and tracing activities in MyBoard.

Alphabet Arc
Drag the missing letters to their places. You can adapt this activity for all kinds of alphabet lessons.

Make a pizza
Drag the topping choices from the “copy box” to make your own pizza.

With the latest version of MyBoard, you can add sounds to various pictures and text within your activity. Whether you are recording words and numbers with the microphone or adding music sound files, sound will add a new dimension to your activities.

Where animals live
A sorting activity for the Science curriculum. Use as a motivating focus for class discussion, or give to small groups to complete independently.

Identify the musical instrument
Version 1.2 now features sound. You can record sounds using the microphone or use pre-existing sound files.

Games: snakes and ladders
You can create and play all sorts of games to use for motivation, social interaction and play.

Early years: Find the animals
