Topologika’s popular MathsBook titles (Addition/Subtraction, and Multiplication/Division) have now been combined into one new-look pack suitable for students from primary right through secondary to Adult Basic Education.
Maths learners need to spend a great deal of time rehearsing written methods of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, but it’s not always easy to monitor their work or techniques.
MathsBook PLUS [Four Rules] reinforces the learning of written methods by simulating students’ workbooks on screen, and through regular, closely monitored practice, it automatically moves them between difficulty and help levels from session to session according to performance.
- MathsBook PLUS can give optional talking help (real speech), which is useful for students with Special Needs (speech is available in Addition/Subtraction sections only)
- When a student makes a mistake, MathsBook PLUS tries to work out and tell them what they did wrong
- Set MathsBook PLUS up exactly how you want it, and you can set it differently for each student.
You can target key skills such as decomposition through interactive demonstrations e.g. on a whiteboard, and via differentiated follow-up work. What’s more, there’s no need for you to write follow-up work sheets or to keep track of work done – the software does this, and much more, for you!
