Intro to Cause and Effect is a new Windows version of Judy Lynn Software’s older classic program Cause and Effect. Both sound and graphics were updated to take advantage of the latest technology. The program is designed to introduce the student to the computer and the switch. It is also designed to improve tracking ability of objects and increase the student’s attention span.
Each time the student presses the switch or keyboard, large brightly coloured geometric segments animate on the screen along with captivating sounds. Animation segments last for approximately 3 – 5 seconds. When the student presses the switch again, a new segment will appear. There are 35 segments in this program. If the student doesn’t press the switch, an image of the switch appears on the screen to suggest to the student that the switch should be pressed.
