Even phonetic or inventive spellers can communicate with Co:Writer helping out. These supports help your students’ transition into literacy-based communication. And as they communicate, Improv learns new vocabulary, phrases, and stories then auto-adapts to improve communication.

Sample Case Study
Prior to Improv, Jim’s AAC device had to be programmed specifically for events like his recent vacation to Yellowstone. But this time is different. With Improv, an impromptu conversation about Yellowstone’s bison, grizzly bears, and pronghorns is as simple as writing the topic name, Yellowstone. Instantly, Improv brings in all of the vocabulary necessary to carry on a real-time conversation. With just a few keystrokes, and the most basic phonetic spelling, Jim can communicate quickly and intelligently — even when the conversation ends up at Old Faithful.
