Picture This…Pro is the latest version of Picture This… for Windows and Macintosh computers. It contains 5000 photos plus many features allowing you flexibility in board design and in searching for the picture you want. It contains an easy-to-use program that allows you to format photos into various size flash cards with or without text. You can also create lotto boards with different coloured borders. In addition, you can easily add your own words or sentences so that the cards will be tailored to your students’ needs.
The photos from the Picture This… Photo Libraries were previously available in a “Boardmaker Library” format and ready-to-use with your Boardmaker program. However, we no longer supply this program as with the Australian version of Boardmaker, we are searching for images using “Australian English”, and the photo images cannot be displayed in the Boardmaker images unless you are using “US English” as your search language. Unfortunately, using US English, means that users then are presented with US spelling and vocabulary associated with images – and this is not as appropriate as our own version of English and vocab for Australian use.
If you do plan to use the Picture This … Photos Libraries within Boardmaker, you simply need to cut and paste them into the Boardmaker symbol collections as you need them. They will then appear in future searches. They also will print at much higher quality and be able to be enlarged much more successfully than with the dedicated Boardmaker library version. An additional 1000 photos are included in the new Picture This… Functional Living Skills and Behavioural Rules Edition CD. A further 2000 photos can be added in to Picture This … Pro by purchasing the School Routines and Rules CD.
